So I got my new cell phone today! I spent almost the ENTIRE day setting it up. *rolls eyes* I still have to work on some homework before I go to bed (it now being a little after 12 am!). It's a pretty nice phone, the flipping thing makes me nervous (I swear I'm going to break it), but it's nice. Texting is a bit harder. I text with one hand so I hold it and type with the same hand. My new phone is thinner and wider than my old phone, so holding and typing hurts my hand after a while. It is easier to text, though. The keys push in much smoother and with less pressure than my last one did. It has that "soft" casing so it picks up really greasy fingerprints well or moisture, but it does rub off, but whatever. It's only aesthetics! I'm hoping it'll last me years. My last phone was with me for almost 3 years! June of 2004. :)
Onto a more, unpleasant topic. At the end of January I went to the DMV to get an ID. Well, it never came in the mail and you had to wait 60 days before you could contact them. I went to the DMV today to ask. It's a sad thing when the clerk says, "that's weird." It's just something you don't want to hear. Apparently (making a long story short) they never mailed my ID and she doesn't know why because there's no reason why. GREAT! I'm glad I didn't wait for it to come before getting my passport! I would have been screwed! Anyway, I ended up having to refill out a dumb application, taking a new thumbprint, picture, and signature. I couldn't believe it...I didn't even think to ask if they could expediate it or rush it or whatever. I have to fly in June! I NEED an ID to get onto the plane! Anyway, they said it should be here within 2-3 weeks. If it's not here in a bit more than 2 weeks, I'm going back and saying WHERE IS IT?!
Next week is when I'm going to call to check on my passport. Hopefully that is being processed without a hitch. PLEASE!
My Borders scholarship application is almost finished! I have everything pretty much done. I have to reproof the 2nd essay and I'm waiting for my MPC transcript. If it doesn't come by Thursday, I don't care. I'm mailing the thing on Friday anyway. I transferred my MPC credits to CSUMB so I'm assuming they show up on my CSUMB transcript since they show up on my web transcript. I'm hoping to get the money, but I doubt it. I'm an entering senior and it's 10 grand. Just don't see it. :) Oh well, one can always hope.
